Job summary

Main Event is seeking a Server Assistant in the Hoffman Estates area to support servers, greet Guests, take drink orders, and keep dining areas clean. This role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and delivering timely service in a fast-paced environment.

You will help with refills, pre-bussing, and table turns while contributing to memorable guest experiences and teamwork across the restaurant floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in food & beverage operations is a plus but not required.
• Customer-focused mindset with guest service orientation.
• Strong teamwork and communication with teammates and management.
• Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Certification as required by policy.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

At Main Event, our Server Assistants support the Server to ensure that our Guests have an amazing experience! As a Server Assistant, your primary duty is to help with refills, pre-bussing tables, helping with table turns, and making sure the dining areas are spotlessly clean! You also assist with aspects of service like greeting Guests and taking drink orders. You're also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

What Will You Be Doing Daily?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Assisting with greeting Guests and taking drink orders
• Delivering food and drinks in a timely manner and anticipating Guest's needs
• Supporting the Server by refilling condiments, pre-bussing tables, and turning tables
• Creating memorable experiences by providing exceptional service
• Performing opening, mid-day, or closing duties

Position Requirements

• Prior food and beverage experience a plus but not required
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Certification, as required
• Communicates effectively
• Sense of urgency and comfort in a fast-paced environment
