Job summary

Main Event is seeking a Server Assistant to support servers and ensure guests have an amazing experience. You will help with refills, pre-bussing tables, and turning tables while keeping dining areas clean and safe.

Greet guests, take drink orders, and deliver food timely. Must communicate well, work fast-paced shifts, and be available days, nights, and weekends. Certifications may be required depending on state regulations.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Certification are required as applicable.
• Guest-focused mindset and teamwork are essential for excellent service.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to opening, mid-day, or closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests and take drink orders with a friendly approach.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, anticipating Guest needs.
• Assist Server with refilling condiments, pre-bussing, and turning tables.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness and safety standards.
• Participate in opening, mid-day or closing duties.

At Main Event, our Server Assistants are there to support the Server to ensure that our Guests have an amazing experience! As a Server Assistant, your primary duty is to help with refills, pre-bussing tables and helping with table turns, and making sure the dining areas are spotlessly clean! You also assist with aspects of service like greeting Guests and taking drink overs. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Assisting with greeting Guests and taking drink orders
• Delivering food and drinks in a timely manner and anticipating Guest’s needs
• Supporting the Server, by refilling condiments, pre-bussing tables and turning tables
• Creating memorable experiences by providing exceptional service
• Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage experience a plus, but not required
• Guest focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Food Handlers Certification and Alcohol Certification, as required
• Communicates effectively
• Sense of urgency and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights and/or weekends
