Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a friendly Seasonal Server for Arapahoe Basin. Bring energy and hospitality to a fast-paced dining environment at high elevation, ensuring guests have a memorable experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, recommending specials, and collaborating with a spirited team. This role requires weekend/holiday availability and comfortable performance in outdoor, high-altitude settings.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience (6+ months preferred).
• Great communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stay cool under pressure and keep the good vibes flowing.
• A team-first attitude and a love for mountain culture.
• Must provide own, approved, non-slip footwear.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Recommend daily specials and menu favorites to enhance the guest experience.
• Offer upsell opportunities with a friendly, informed approach—craft cocktails, desserts, and local brews.
• Work closely with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to keep service smooth and timely.
• Support private and public events, from après ski parties to special dinners and mountain celebrations.
• Maintain a clean, organized section and assist with bussing, table resets, and side work.
• Follow all departmental sustainability guidelines.
• Jump in wherever needed—teamwork is everything at A-Basin.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Love the mountain life and making people smile? Join the team at the 6th Alley Bar & Grill-Arapahoe Basin's go-to spot for great food, cold drinks, and après ski vibes. We're looking for servers who bring energy, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality to every shift.

This position does NOT come with employee housing.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $15.16/hour + Tips

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, and navigate stairs throughout your shift.
• Withstand high altitude conditions at all times.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• You'll be working in a lively, guest-facing restaurant at high elevation-with occasional outdoor tasks in snowy conditions. Expect fast-paced shifts, high-volume guest interaction, and a team that's as passionate about the mountain as you are.
