Job summary

The Parkway Senior Living in Blue Springs, MO is seeking a part-time Server to join our team. The role involves greeting residents, assisting with dining service, and maintaining a welcoming, tidy dining environment throughout shifts from 6:30am to 1:00pm on Monday and Sunday.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• English comprehension at least 8th grade.
• Positive and energetic attitude toward residents.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and stoop all day.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Criminal background clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and make them feel welcome in the dining room.
• Assist with meal service and dining room prep.
• Buss and clear tables; maintain cleanliness and tidiness.
• Monitor residents’ appetite and report changes to supervisors.

• Be an “Appetite Anthropologist”: Communicate with supervisors and Wellness

when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• You can read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with our Residents!
• You will have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
• You must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• You must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• You must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• You must be criminally cleared.
