Job summary

Halcyon House, part of WesleyLife, is seeking an attentive server for our Washington, Iowa community. You will greet residents, take orders, and deliver meals, while ensuring nutritious, appealing presentation and a warm dining atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a server or in foodservice preferred.
• Ability to create a welcoming dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take food & beverage orders.
• Deliver food from kitchen to dining area.
• Create a dining experience aligned with residents’ nutritional goals.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and healthily.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents.

A Typical Day for a Server with Halcyon House:

• Greeting guests and taking food & beverage orders
• Deliver food from kitchen to dining area
• Create a dining experience which allows each of our residents the opportunity to achieve their personal nutritional wellness goals
• Assure food is presented in a manner that is appealing as well as healthy
• Build meaningful relationships with our residents
• Performing shift duties like delivering racks of cups, rolling silverware, bussing tables, and more
