Job summary

Embassy Suites Georgetown is seeking PM Restaurant Server(s) to become an integral part of our team. You will take orders and serve food to patrons, remaining attentive to the dining experience and accommodating special requests.

You will complete restocking and cleaning duties, ensure accurate payments, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 1–2 years in high-volume, luxury dining, ServeSafe and TIPs certification, and a professional, friendly approach.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years' experience in high-volume, luxury lounge or restaurant.
• ServeSafe and TIPs certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
• Recommend appetizers and meals based on menu and specials.
• Address customer concerns to create a pleasant dining experience
• Confirm orders with kitchen and bar staff when clarification is needed
• Provide professional, friendly and engaging service

• Ensure that all food and drink orders from customers are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
• Recommend appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials
• Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience
• Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services
• Take and expedite drink orders quickly and accurately; serve refills upon request
• Consistent restaurant presentation- utilize appropriate stemware/glassware as required by company standards, polish glassware, stock bar supplies to par levels, etc.
• Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties
• Follow cash handling and POS procedures
• Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
• Follow responsible alcohol service
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience
• Must have 1-2 years' experience in high volume, luxury lounge or restaurant
• Must have 1-2 years' hospitality experience working with high profile clients
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, champagnes and
• Previous point of sale system experience is an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal in working with high-profile clients and problem-solving abilities
