Job Overview

Embassy Suites Georgetown is seeking a PM Restaurant Server to become an integral part of our team. The Server will take orders, serve food, and ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Responsibilities include restocking, cleaning, opening and closing tasks, and accurate cash handling using company POS procedures. The Server must thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and deliver accurate food and drink orders in a timely manner.
• Recommend menu items and specials to guests based on the current menu.
• Work closely with management to address and resolve all customer concerns.
• Coordinate with chefs and bartenders for order clarification and status.
• Provide professional, friendly, and engaging service at all times.
• Take and expedite drink orders quickly and accurately; serve refills upon request.
• Maintain restaurant appearance by using appropriate stemware/glassware and polishing glassware.
• Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties.
• Follow cash handling and POS procedures and prepare checks with accurate itemization.
• Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines and departmental policies.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; relevant work experience is acceptable.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a high‑volume, luxury lounge or restaurant setting.
• Experience serving high‑profile clients in a hospitality environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, champagnes, and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid ServeSafe and TIPs certifications.
• Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
