Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking experienced servers to join our team in Vermont. This seasonal role requires a team-oriented individual with agility, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.

The position offers full-time and part-time hours and is paid at $8.75/hr plus tips. Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December, with opportunities for career growth and access to employee perks and discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of serving or bartending experience preferred.
• Cash handling and POS experience required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and walk with at least 30 pounds.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; basic computer literacy helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Use POS system to place orders and process payments.
• Support multiple workstations (host stand, expo window, service bar, dish pit, etc.).
• Comply with Vermont liquor laws when serving alcohol.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable work area; follow sanitation practices.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and coordinate with culinary team to ensure timely orders.
• Assist guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions with care.

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking experienced servers to join the team. This position requires an individual that is a team player, possess agility, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. An individual in this role will consistently display a friendly demeanor while providing anticipatory guest service in a fast-paced environment.

This is a seasonal role, with full time and part-time hours available. The position will be paid at $8.75/hr + tips.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

• Provide exceptional guest service in a fast pace changing environment
• Use POS system to place orders and process payments
• Actively supports and contributes to all workstations including but not limited to host stand, expo window, service bar, dish pit, etc.
• Understand and practice the serving of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws
• Maintains a clean and presentable work environment while adhering to food safety and sanitation practices
• Executes opening and closing duties as directed
• Effectively communicates with the culinary team to ensure orders are entered and delivered in a timely manner with accuracy
• Displays menu knowledge and can confidently assist and accommodate guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions with the utmost care and concern
• Additional duties as assigned
