Job summary

Troon operates Burnt Store Marina Country Club in Punta Gorda, FL. We are hiring a part-time Server to join our hospitality team in a fast-paced setting. You will greet guests, describe daily specials, take orders, and ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to read and speak English, and food safety/alcohol awareness training. Cross-training in bartending is encouraged, with benefits eligible per plan terms.

Description

Burnt Store Marina Country Club, located in Punta Gorda, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay

$10.98 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
  • Describes specials of the day to guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions when appropriate.
  • Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food promptly after preparation.
  • Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
  • Maintains an organized workstation and side work duties.
  • Sets up and breaks down golf stations every shift.
  • Maintains accountability for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point of Sale system.
  • Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
  • Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
  • Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
  • Must be cross-trained in bartending service.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Knowledge/Skill
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the position.
  • Knowledge of POS systems.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates/Licenses

Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Valid driver's license required (will be required when operating the ball picker and golf cart).
