Essential Functions:

• * Knowledge of fine dining service.
• * Must have full familiarity with menus.
• * Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings/promotions.
• * Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• * To polish and clean the water glasses and flatware in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
• * Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisor.
• * Complete all assigned side work duties
• * Service to guests.
• * Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
• * Complete cleanliness of all dining areas, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

• * Knowledge of hotel property and downtown area
• * Familiarity with all food and beverage promotions.

Tools and Equipment:

• * Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine,
  file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine

Working Environment:

• * Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
• * Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• * Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
• * Exposure to food items and beverages.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/ Carrying

• * Lifting trays, equipment, dishware, etc up to 50 pounds.
• * Pushing, pulling racks, queen marys, etc up to 75 pounds
• * Carrying orders, equipment up to 25 pounds

Mobility

* Continuous movement throughout hotel - 80% of shift

Continuous Standing

* Continuous standing to fill, check, deliver orders 60% of shift

Climbing

* No climbing required

Driving

* No driving required

Work Environment

* Inside 100% of work period (usually 8 hours)

Hearing/Vision/Speech/Literacy

• * Hearing is moderate (Able to communicate with guest one-on-one. Accommodations may be provided)
• * Vision is critical (Emphasis on cleanliness standards, quality control and continuous movement throughout hotel)
• * Speech is moderate (Able to communicate with guest one-on-one)
• * Literacy is critical (Ability to take and communicate orders from guests and respond to special requests)

Chemical/Agents Used

• * Cleaning chemicals and Sterno used

Protective Clothing

• * None required

Equipment Operations

• * Computer, cash register, calculator, coffee maker, toaster

• * Must present ServSafe Certifications and RAMP Certifications upon hire
