Job summary

Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, part of Troon, is seeking a part-time server to join a fast-paced, hospitality-focused team. You will greet guests, explain menu items, take orders, deliver meals, and ensure guest satisfaction while handling POS transactions.

Required items include a HS diploma or GED and food safety/alcohol awareness training; English may be required for duties, and a valid license is needed for beverage service and cart operations. Benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness Training is preferred/certified.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate attention to guests upon seating.
• Describes specials and answers questions; suggests menu items when appropriate.
• Takes and delivers food and beverage orders promptly after preparation.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.
• Sets up and breaks down golf stations each shift.
• Handles checks and cash; uses POS system.
• Follows systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows standards for greeting, cocktail service, and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Cross-trained in bartending service.
• Implements safe work practices.
• Valid driver license required for range balls/golf cart operations.
• Reliably attends shifts.
• Performs other duties as required.

Papago Golf Course, located in Phoenix, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Essential Duties

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
• Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties
• Setting up and breaking down golf stations every shift
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Position requires to be cross trained in bartending service
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Valid driver license required (driver license will be required when operating the picker for range balls, golf cart)
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates/Licenses

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS system
