Job summary

Sterling Grove, an award-winning Troon property in Surprise, AZ, is seeking a part-time Server to join a fast-paced hospitality team focused on golf and community experiences.

As a server, you will greet guests, describe daily specials, take and deliver orders, process payments with the POS system, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining a clean workstation. Prior serving experience and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with two years serving experience.
• Must meet state age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Regular, reliable attendance; country club experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and seat them, delivering attentive service.
• Describe specials and menu items, offering recommendations.
• Take orders and deliver food promptly; ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle checks and cash; operate the POS system.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and tastings.
• Maintain organized workstation and side work duties.
• Follow established service standards for greeting and service.
• Support safe work practices and assist as needed.

Sterling Grove, located in Surprise, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Contacts:

Key Responsibilities of the Server:

• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
• Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains organized workstation and side work duties.
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
• Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications for the Server:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two years serving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to meet state age requirements for handling alcohol for this position.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Country Club experience preferred
