Job summary

Alliance Redwoods in Occidental, CA seeks a server for our Food Service department to provide excellent dining experiences for guests. Under supervision, you will assist guests, maintain cleanliness of dining areas, stock and run food lines, and help with meal prep as needed.

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, pass a background check, and speak fluent English. Prior hotel/food service experience is helpful but not required. $17.00 per hour. This role is on-site and part of our service team.

Nestled in the heart of the magnificent California Redwoods, Alliance Redwoods hosts tens of thousands of visitors each year through our Camp and Conference Center, and Sonoma Zipline & Treehouse Adventures. Our mission is to provide "Service as Tall as our Trees", and we are seeking a server in our Food Service department who can help us do just that. This position will serve on a vibrant service-oriented team providing excellent dining experience for our guests.

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist guest in food service requests
• Maintain kitchen and dining facilities cleanliness
• Maintain hot and cold food service lines, which includes stocking, cleaning and shutting down
• Assist in the preparation of meals as needed
• Operate dish machine and cleanup of all utensils/pots/pans as needed
• Assist in storage and organization of food deliveries
• Assist in all dining room needs as directed by supervisor

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Dependable, responsible, reliable, and able to take directions as needed.
• Open minded to learn new ideas/skills as well as share from past experience as opportunities arise.
• In good physical condition, having full range of motion and able to lift heavy objects in excess of 40lbs.

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour.

Experience & Requirements:

• Any experience in hotel/food service or customer service is helpful but not necessary
• Must pass background check to be eligible for employment
• Must be in harmony with ARCG statement of faith and code of conduct
• Current Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Speak fluent English and use cordial manners (additional languages a plus)
• Lift 40 lbs. and spend 4 hours walking and standing
