Job summary

Alliance Redwoods is a year-round Christian Camp and Conference Center in the California Redwoods, serving over 55,000 visitors yearly. We are seeking a Porter in our Food Services department to provide friendly, professional hospitality and support a cheerful kitchen team.

As a dishwasher, you will wash dishes, keep the kitchen clean and organized, follow sanitation guidelines, and help with general duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a dishwasher preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and sanitation guidelines.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans in a timely manner.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and prep tables.
• Follow proper food handling practices to prevent cross-contamination and maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen.
• Empty and dispose of all waste properly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, as well as maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist kitchen team with various tasks, such as cleaning and organizing storage areas and other duties as assigned.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the kitchen manager immediately.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Alliance Redwoods is a year-round Christian Camp and Conference Center nestled in the heart of the California Redwoods, providing a 115-acre outdoor classroom for students to learn and grow and serving over 55,000 visitors per year. Our mission is to provide "Service as Tall as our Trees", and we are seeking a Porter in our Food Services department who can help us do just that. This position serves on a vibrant service-oriented team, providing an enjoyable dining experience through excellent service and a friendly disposition, resulting in professional hospitality to all guests and co-workers.

Job Type: Part-Time

Compensation: $18.00

Responsibilities

As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain an orderly and efficient kitchen space. You must be able to follow cleaning and sanitation guidelines while upholding the company\'s high standards for hygiene and safety. As a crucial member of the kitchen team, you must be dependable, hard-working, and have a strong work ethic.
