Job summary

Naples Sailing and Yacht Club is seeking a friendly server to provide food and beverage service to club members and guests. You will arrive on time in the proper uniform, set up side stations, and participate in pre-shift lineups with the Executive Chef.

You will take orders, enter them into the POS system, and serve courses with attentiveness to guest satisfaction. This role requires compliance with alcohol policies and teamwork for closing duties.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to work on time and dressed in the proper uniform for the scheduled shift.
• Set up side station and perform assigned side work.
• Attend the food and beverage lineup with the Executive Chef.
• Ensures that tables are properly set with clean silverware, napkins and glassware.
• Be sure that the water glasses are filled with ice water while guests are deciding what to order.
• Takes the members and guest’s order.
• Enters the order into the point of sales system and confirms the order is correct.
• Serves meal, places dishes by courses in front of each person, serves from left of the person.
• Checks back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenishes water, beverages, bread, and butter as necessary.
• Ensures that all soiled silverware, china, and glassware is removed and replaced as needed.
• Suggests and serves desserts and after dinner drinks.
• Processes all credit cards as applicable from guests’ and facilitates Reciprocal charges as needed.
• Advises supervisor of any issues or complaints as soon as they occur.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assists in setting the dining area for the next shift.
• Consistently complies with all state, local and club laws/policies relating to the service of alcohol.
