Job summary

The Lofton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis seeks energetic hospitality professionals to join our premier team as bartenders. You’ll provide friendly, attentive service, take orders, deliver beverages, and ensure smooth, compliant operation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior cocktail experience preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Ability to read, speak and write English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to lift and transport large trays up to 40 lbs. throughout shift.
• Must be able to obtain any government required license or certificate.

What will you be doing?

• Provide friendly, attentive and professional service to guests
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Deliver beverages and menu items with knowledge of ingredients and presentation
• Collaborate with bartenders and support staff to ensure smooth service
• Handle cash and POS transactions responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area along with personal hygiene
• Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed

What do you bring to the role?

• Prior cocktail experience preferred
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items
• Ability to read, sufficient to understand menus and special promotions, speak and write the English language to communicate with the guest, and take orders
• Ability to transport large awkward trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate
