Job OverviewThe Food & Beverage Server provides warm, attentive service to guests in the hotel’s dining outlets, which may include the main dining room, bar, pool area, or other assigned service locations. This role includes welcoming guests, taking and entering orders, serving food and beverages, processing guest checks, and maintaining a clean, organized service area. Full-time and part-time positions may be available. Shifts, days, hours, and schedules will vary based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.This position operates in a hotel food and beverage environment with frequent standing, walking, movement, and guest interaction. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors depending on the assigned outlet and may involve exposure to noise, weather conditions, slippery surfaces, hot items, and cleaning supplies.Job ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Order ManagementGreet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout the dining experienceTake accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS systemDeliver food and beverages in a timely, safe, and professional mannerMonitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests, questions, or concernsFollow all company service standards, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelinesService Execution & EfficiencyMaintain knowledge of menu items, specials, allergens, and beverage offeringsCoordinate with kitchen and service team members to support accurate and timely order deliveryManage assigned tables, stations, and service areas efficiently in a high-volume environmentAssist with seating guests, running food, restocking service areas, or supporting other outlet needs as assignedPerform related duties in accordance with safe workload expectations and applicable lawCash Handling & POS OperationsAccurately process guest checks and handle cash and credit transactionsFollow all check management, room-charge, and cash handling proceduresVerify required guest information and approvals when a guest requests to sign charges to their roomEnsure accuracy and accountability in all financial transactionsCleanliness & OrganizationMaintain cleanliness of guest-facing service areas, including tables, stations, and assigned work areasEnsure flatware, glassware, plates, menus, and service items are clean, polished, organized, and properly stockedAssist with opening, closing, and side work duties related to assigned outlet serviceSupport public-facing service-area cleanliness as assignedFollow all sanitation, safety, and chemical-handling proceduresProduct Knowledge & Guest EngagementMaintain knowledge of all property amenities and on-site dining optionsProvide recommendations and answer guest questions about menu offeringsSupport suggestive selling to enhance the guest experienceEducation: High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Food and beverage, hotel, restaurant, bar, pool service, or guest service experience preferred. Equivalent hospitality experience may be considered.Certifications: California Food Handler Card required within 30 days of hire. Responsible Beverage Service certification required within 60 days of hire for team members who serve alcoholic beverages.
