Job summary

Carriage Inn Huntsville, operated by Cardinal Bay, is seeking Full-Time Servers to bring a fine dining experience to residents. Shifts range from early morning to late evening with rotation including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must obtain accredited food handler within 60 days.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• High School diploma or GED required; food handler certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dining room clean and set up to standards for all meals and functions.
• Greet residents and guests with a smile and ensure seating availability.
• Take food orders, relay to kitchen, and deliver meals in a timely manner.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately; check food quality and presentation.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest requests; interact to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, and restocking supplies.
• Keep serving area clean and organized; ensure safety and sanitation standards.
• Remove walkers when needed and ensure resident safety after meals.

Shifts:

• 7:00am - 3:00pm
• 3:00pm - 7:00pm
• 7:00am - 11:00am
• 11:00am - 7:00pm
• 7:00am - 1:00pm
• 4 on 2 off rotation
• Weekend & Holiday shifts included on rotation

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the dining room is clean and is set up to company standards for all meals and functions, and that it is kept clean.
• Ensure all residents and guests are greeted with a smile and that each resident has a place to sit.
• Take food orders, present to kitchen staff, and deliver meals to residents and guests in a proper and timely manner.
• Ensures accurate fulfillment of orders and checks food quality/presentation.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest requests. Interact with guests in the dining room to ensure their satisfaction.
• Assists setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste materials, and restocking inventory.
• Assist in cleaning and setting up the serving area according to company standards and ensure that it is kept clean.
• Ensure residents safety by removing all walkers from the dining room and return to resident immediately upon finishing meal.
• Adhere to all food handling, food service, safety, and sanitation standards.

Requirements:

• Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Ability to speak, read & write English.
• Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.
