Job summary

Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette in Houston is seeking a friendly server to welcome guests, educate them on our seafood-forward menu, and deliver a memorable hospitality experience.

You can earn up to $43.00 per hour including tips; we offer flexible schedules, growth opportunities, and discounts on dining and entertainment as part of Culinary Khancepts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs; bend/climb as needed.
• Customer service focused and solution oriented.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Food Handler and TABC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Staying updated on current menu choices and edits.
• Presenting menus and suggesting dishes; assisting with drink selection.
• Delivering items and ensuring a complete dining experience.
• Open and pour wine tableside when appropriate.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks.
• Assisting with special events as needed.
• Greet guests warmly and communicate product details.
• Ensure safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.

Job Summary

As a server at Liberty Kitchen, you have the protentional to earn up to $43.00 an hour. We truly care about providing a memorable and hospitable experience. Our servers are always welcoming and accommodating to our guests, with the ability to educate and guide their experience to create lasting memories. You have a desire to expand your knowledge of our offerings and be creative with your recommendations, using suggestive selling where appropriate. You work quickly, love being part of a team and are capable of solving problems in stride.

Responsibilities

• Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu edits


• Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details


• Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses


• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside


• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed


• Assisting with special events as needed


• Greet all guests in a hospitable and warm manner


• Understand and communicate all products and services available


• Must have some familiarity with basic food knowledge


• Commit to delivering high levels of customer service


• Practice appropriate/required safety and sanitation procedures at all times


• Handling cash and credit transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant


• Able to multi-task


• Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
