Job summary

Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette in Houston is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage seating and assist with wait times to ensure a smooth dining flow.

You will greet guests, answer calls, and coordinate with servers in a fast-paced, guest‑centric environment. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within Culinary Khancepts.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant/host experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones during shift and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Greet and seat guests while balancing rotation between servers.
• Communicate clearly face-to-face and on the phone.
• Accommodate guest requests with a positive attitude.
• Monitor wait times and assist with seating as needed.
• Assist with opening/closing side work: cleaning, stocking, setup.

Job Summary Host/Host responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure.

Responsibilities

Answer phones throughout the shift and direct calls to appropriate personnel as necessary.

Greeting, seating guests, while maintaining a balanced rotation between servers

Clear and prompt communication, both face-to-face and over the phone

Eager and happy to accommodate all guests’ requests

Assessment, awareness and understanding of going on a wait as needed

Additional opening and closing side work-related job duties: cleaning, stocking, setting up host stand for next shift.
