Job summary

Spring Harbor At Green Island in Columbus, GA is seeking an hourly Dining Aide to help set up dining areas and trays for meal services, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines and residents' dietary needs.

You will assist cooks, deliver meal carts, and maintain dining spaces. Responsibilities include recording refrigerator temperatures, washing dishes, and upholding sanitation standards, with mandatory trainings and compliance to policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service following established procedures and regulations.
• Deliver meal carts and clean and set dining areas for residents.
• Record refrigerator temperatures and maintain cleanliness and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes and uphold kitchen sanitation standards.
• Follow Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Attend department meetings as required.
• Demonstrate accountability for personal/professional growth and maintain required certifications/licenses.
• Complete mandatory training and competencies annually.

Job description

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
• Responsible for delivering residents' meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
