Job summary

Forefront Healthcare is seeking dedicated dining services staff to help set up dining areas and trays for meal services in a healthcare setting. You will follow food safety guidelines and accommodate residents’ dietary needs to support healing and well-being.

Eligible candidates will assist cooks, deliver meal carts, and maintain cleanliness in the dining areas, while adhering to regulations and participating in mandatory trainings. Shifts include days, evenings, some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare dining is a plus.
• Ability to follow dietary restrictions
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Set up dining area and meal trays per service, adhering to safety rules.
• Assist cook/supervisor with food prep and service following established procedures.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts and sanitize dining areas after service.
• Record refrigerator temperatures accurately and stock as needed.
• Wash dishes and maintain overall kitchen sanitation and organization.
• Follow Federal, State, and Community regulations and facility policies.
• Attend department meetings and participate in required trainings.
• Maintain professionalism and pursue required certifications/licenses if applicable.

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
• Responsible for delivering residents’ meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
