Job summary

Forefront is seeking an hourly Dining Support Associate to help set up dining areas and trays for meal services, assist with food preparation, and ensure adherence to safety guidelines and dietary requirements for residents.

You will deliver meal carts, maintain cleanliness, record refrigerator temperatures, and stock as needed. The role requires adherence to HIPAA, hospital regulations, and ongoing training with varying hours including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining area and trays for meal services and assist with food preparation and service following procedures and guidelines.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts and set/clean dining areas as required.
• Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators and maintain stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes and maintain sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Attend department meetings and complete mandatory training and competencies annually.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and HIPAA, and conform to all policies and procedures.

Job description

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
• Responsible for delivering residents’ meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
