Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking Full and Part time servers to join the team for day and evening shifts in a senior living dining setting. Starting at $14/hour, the role offers a front-row seat to the remarkable life stories of residents and the chance to contribute to a caring, inclusive community.

You will uphold high standards of service, assist with dining operations, and support residents with utmost respect and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Sophomore year of high school required.
• Experience in food service work preferred.
• Experience in working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the dining area.
• Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times.
• Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards.
• Demonstrate speed, accuracy, and efficiency in serving.
• Set tables, take orders, provide service courteously, and answer menu questions.
• Clear dishes and assist with dish washing; reset tables.
• Provide service with proper etiquette and create an inviting dining atmosphere.
• Know and serve diets per policy and procedure.
• Represent the community warmly to create a positive marketing environment.

We are searching for Full and Part time servers to join the Freedom Village family to work day shifts and evening shifts.

We offer tuition reimbursement through our resident council; in 2024-2025, our residents raised over $134,000 that was distributed to rising college freshman and business professionals looking to further their education at Freedom Village at Brandywine.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Server:

• Always exemplify Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always.
• Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always.
• Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables.
• Serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
• Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
• Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment
