Job summary

SSP America in Cleveland, OH is hiring servers for full-time and part-time schedules with opportunities for career advancement. Our servers engage with guests, input orders, prep dishes, and balance checks in a fast-paced environment.

You will answer questions, provide menu recommendations, handle payments, and maintain clean service areas while delivering friendly, efficient guest experiences. Previous restaurant experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior experience serving in a full-service restaurant environment.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, etc.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & POS procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility.
• Accurately input orders into the POS system.
• Prepare dishes for service, including ladling soup, tossing salads, pie and desserts, and brewing coffee.
• Observe guests to anticipate needs and respond to requests.
• Clear all dishes away from table.
• Balance and reconcile all assigned checks by totaling bills and accepting payments.
• Clear and reset counters or tables at the end of each course.
• Other duties as assigned.
