Job summary

Grafted Cellars in California is seeking a friendly part-time server to greet guests, take accurate orders, and ensure timely service with warmth and attentiveness. You will relay requests to the kitchen, handle payments, maintain a clean dining area, and collaborate with the team to deliver a polished wine-focused experience.

Prior server experience is preferred but not required. The role offers an hourly wage plus tips, flexible evenings/weekends, and training with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain a friendly and positive attitude even during busy periods.
• Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work well in a small team and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and drinks.
• Positive and adaptable attitude in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment.
• Some Wine knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement

• Take accurate orders and convey them efficiently to the kitchen, ensuring special requests are communicated clearly.
• Serve food and beverages with precision, ensuring correct items and presentation.
• Anticipate guests' needs and provide attentive service throughout their meal, making menu suggestions and accommodating preferences.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tables, serving stations, and common areas.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery and address any guest concerns promptly.
• Oversee wine club check-ins and bottle distribution, confirming active memberships and providing a welcoming, personalized experience for club members, while maintaining accurate records in the POS systems.
• Work efficiently under pressure to ensure smooth operations during busy times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and cleanup.
• Uphold company standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and service quality.
