Job summary

Elevation Entertainment Group is seeking a Server to deliver high-quality food and beverage service to guests and team members at our Chula Vista location. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and maintain cleanliness while upholding safety and gaming policies.

The role requires strong communication, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Training provided; background check for gaming license may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required; 1+ year related experience optional.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures; write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Follow California Food Handlers guidelines.

• Provide a fun gaming and dining experience by building rapport with guests.
• Report unsafe practices or hazards to the CSM, Security, or General Manager.
• Report underage or intoxicated individuals to authorities.
• Attend AML/BSA training as scheduled.

Primary Function

To serve food and beverage to guests and team members in alignment with the company's mission and core values.

Essential Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner; take food and drink orders accurately; deliver food and drink orders in a timely manner; check back with guests often to inquire how their dining experience is progressing and to ensure satisfaction; maintain cleanliness throughout.
• Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines.
• Promote teamwork efficiency by circulating the gaming floor and dining room for maximum availability, and assisting others, as needed.
• Monitor and enforce all the principles of RBS (Responsible Beverage Service), liquor license guidelines, and our company’s Alcohol Consumption policy.
• Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience by establishing and maintaining a good rapport with guests to promote continued patronage.
• Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the CSM, Security or General Manager.
• Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.
• Attend annual AML/BSA training, as scheduled.

• Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.
• Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Conditions of Employment

• Must be able successfully pass a thorough background check from the City in order to obtain a Gaming License.
• Must be able to renew and maintain an active Gaming License according to the city’s requirements.
