Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face: arrive on time, set up the restaurant/lounge/cafe and keep the area clean and attractive throughout the meal period; complete all cleaning duties at closing, including floors, tables, buffet and sidework.
• Serve as a host: pour water, upsell food and beverage, make helpful suggestions, answer questions, remember names or favorite choices, offer friendly smiles, and give brief weather or local attraction tips.
• Act as a food professional: understand the food and beverage offerings, provide prompt excellent service, and handle cash and credit accurately and promptly.
• Ensure safety and security: follow hotel safety and security policies, anticipate problems and call management as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of progressive experience in food and beverage service.
• ServSafe or Tips certification required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally or up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Can bend, stretch, twist or reach with arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels, and stand and walk for long periods.
• Fluency in English and ability to work under stressful, high‑pressure situations while multi‑tasking.
