Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Boise, operated by Resolute Road Hospitality, is seeking a Server to join our hospitality team. You will guide guests through menus, take orders, and ensure a seamless dining experience in a fast-paced setting.

We value friendly, reliable team members with strong guest service and POS/cash handling skills. Prior food service or banquet experience is preferred, and SafeServ/TIPS training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food service or banquets preferred.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, provide menu guidance and recommendations.
• Take and relay orders accurately via the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly; check in with guests.
• Clear and reset tables between guests.
• Assist with basic prep tasks as needed.
• Process guest payments including cash and card transactions.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and service areas.
• Address guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and brand policies.

Your Role

As a Server, you’ll create a welcoming and seamless dining experience for every guest. From menu guidance and order accuracy to table cleanliness and payment processing, you’ll ensure each visit exceeds expectations and reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence. This role is ideal for someone who brings Social Intelligence to every interaction, works Stronger Together with the team, and delivers service with Integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Green guests warmly and present menus, answer questions, and make food or beverage recommendations
• Take and relay guest orders accurately via the POS system to the kitchen or bar
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and check in regularly to anticipate additional needs
• Clear tables and reset dining areas efficiently between guests
• Assist with basic prep tasks (e.g., coffee brewing, soup ladling, etc.) as needed
• Process guest payments, including handling cash and credit card transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of dining room and service areas
• Respond to guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, as well as Resolute Road Hospitality and brand specific policies
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and work on your feet for extended periods
• Friendly, confident, and polished presence in guest interactions
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Quick thinking and effective problem solving under pressure
• Proficient with POS systems and cash handling best practices

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous food service or banquet experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• SafeServ Certification
• TIPS or equivalent training
