Job summary

Fields Senior Living in Bakersfield, CA seeks a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist with meal service and resident support. You will read diet restrictions, deliver orders, and help maintain a clean dining environment. Emphasis on safety, empathy, and teamwork with staff and residents.

The role requires strong communication in English, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to resident rights and well-being during meals and on memory care tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be drug-free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
• Must be eighteen (18) years old.
• Maintains current first aid certification and food handlers.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret diet restrictions
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.
• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver residents food orders in a timely manner. Knowing the details of the menu and items within the food that may impact a resident’s diet restrictions
• Pour and serve beverages for residents, ensure hospitality bar is stocked and has fresh beverages.
• Follow kitchen and dining room cleaning schedules.
• Keep environment safe and clean.
• Observe residents for safety and report all changes in resident condition effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner report to Management team.
• Always observe and uphold resident rights
• Positively supports residents with emotional and behavioral issues
• Assist other staff as needed on the floors
• Assist residents to and from meals, delivering meals to residents’ apartments and helping serve in memory care as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
