Job summary

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin and Peachtree Group are seeking hospitality-driven individuals to join our downtown team. Located in the heart of downtown, the hotel and its colleagues aim to deliver memorable guest experiences with energy, fresh ideas, and authentic Austin spirit.

As a front-of-house team member, you will greet guests, take and relay orders, collaborate with kitchen and bar staff, process payments, and help maintain a clean, welcoming dining area while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Greet guests and provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, beverages, and daily specials.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them promptly into the point-of-sale system.
• Ensure all orders are prepared and delivered correctly, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Build positive relationships with guests by providing attentive service and responding proactively to requests.
• Collaborate closely with managers, chefs, and bartenders to ensure a smooth dining experience and quickly resolve any guest concerns.
• Verify and clarify orders with kitchen and bar staff as needed to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
• Present checks, process payments, and thank guests for their visit in a professional manner.
• Assist with the setup and arrangement of dining areas, including setting tables and accommodating larger parties when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment by clearing and resetting tables promptly.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and service standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
