Job summary

Rhode Island Blood Center is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the 2nd shift to perform high-complexity serologic investigations on donor and patient samples. The role requires precise testing, result interpretation, and consultation with clients.

You will maintain records, support quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with CLIA/NYSDOH requirements. Qualifications include an MT/MLS degree or equivalent, ASCP certification, and 0–1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Requires formal MT/MLS degree or equivalent. ASCP certification preferred.
• 0–1 year of technical lab experience or equivalent.
• Experience with CLIA/NYSDOH regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform serologic testing on donor and patient samples.
• Prepare reagents and chemicals for testing.
• Maintain accurate lab records and report results promptly.
• Provide consultation to clients and support quality initiatives.
• Identify and report problems with equipment or procedures.
