Job summary

Rhode Island Blood Center is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to perform serologic investigations on donor and patient samples in a high complexity laboratory. You will follow CLIA/NYSDOH directives, prepare reagents, and maintain meticulous records.

The role requires an ASCP-certified program with 0–1 years of relevant experience, and includes a 2nd shift schedule on a full-time basis with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology or Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.
• Bachelor's in Physical, Chemical, or Biological Science with ASCP certification.
• 0–1 years of relevant technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform serologic investigations on donor and patient samples.
• Perform tests only as authorized by CLIA/NYSDOH director.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate records and report test results.
• Identify, test and procure antigen negative donor units.
