We are seeking a Security Sergeant to provide a secure environment for patient care functions of the Mercy Medical Center. The role includes protecting patients, visitors, staff, buildings, property and grounds, and serving as the lead supervisor when the Security Captain is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for patient care functions.
• Protect patients, visitors, staff, buildings, property and grounds.
• Serve as the lead supervisor during periods when the Security Captain is not present.
• Meet all requirements for and be able to perform the duties of a security officer.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Two to four years in law enforcement or public contract security, with healthcare security preferred.
• Must have a valid Maryland Driver’s License or a valid driver’s license from a neighboring state (PA, DC) if this is the applicant’s permanent primary residence.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.

Salary

USD $21.15 per hour – USD $34.90 per hour.
