Job summary

Wind River Environmental LLC is seeking an Installation Technician to safely install residential and commercial septic systems. You will operate excavators and skid steers, read blueprints, and coordinate with inspectors to ensure work meets codes.

The ideal candidate has a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, plus strong communication and customer service skills. This role offers year-round work and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience (excavators, skid steers).
• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement and clean driving record.
• Prior septic installation and repair experience.
• Ability to read and draw simple septic diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and on-call rotations during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and skid steers to install septic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
• Install septic tanks and piping per local codes and permit requirements.
• Coordinate with inspectors, suppliers, and team members to complete projects.
• Perform system inspections for real estate transactions.
• Educate customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Maintain paperwork for each job.
• Work overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.
