Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an experienced SEO Strategist, Veterinary, to own search for veterinary clients. You will define the technical roadmap, content priorities, and build the ranking narrative for clients, acting as the strategic voice at the table.

You will work with writers and AI to produce drafts, manage multi-location SEO, and report in GA4 and Search Console, guiding quarterly roadmaps for each client. Experience with veterinary or multi-location SEO is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes.
• Fluency with GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs/SEMrush.
• Agency experience across several clients.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for veterinary or multi-location businesses is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and architecture.
• Define keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers/AI.
• Drive visibility in AI search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) and traditional results.
• Manage links, local search, and multi-location SEO as needed.
• Provide GA4 and Search Console reporting; map quarterly client roadmaps.

As SEO Strategist, Veterinary you own search for a book of veterinary clients (veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on‑page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi‑location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands‑on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
