Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an experienced SEO Strategist to own search for veterinary clients, including technical roadmaps, content priorities, and ranking narratives. You will guide a strategic voice at the table and make critical calls.

You will manage technical SEO, keyword strategy, content prioritization, AI-assisted search, local/multi-location SEO, and reporting via GA4 and Search Console for a portfolio of veterinary clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands‑on in SEO: you have run audits and fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for veterinary or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO aspects: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema, site architecture.
• Lead keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities with writers.
• Improve visibility in AI search and traditional organic results.
• Manage links, local search and multi-location SEO.
• Provide GA4 and Search Console reporting and quarterly roadmaps for clients.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Strategist, Veterinary you own search for a book of veterinary clients (veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on‑page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi‑location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring
