Job summary

ZAG Interactive is looking for a full-time SEO Specialist to join our Marketing team. This hybrid role supports our SEO clients, primarily banks and credit unions, balancing a large workload of project-based and ongoing client work.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of SEO experience, strong communication skills, and a solid grasp of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO including schema and Google Analytics. Willingness to learn CMS platforms in a fast-paced agency setting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in digital marketing or communications (or equivalent).
• 2–3 years of SEO experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of on-page and off-page best practices.
• Experience with keyword research, meta tags, and content optimization.
• Technical SEO experience or willingness to learn including schema markup.
• Strong business writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Support basic SEO/GEO responsibilities.
• Provide content optimization suggestions for clients.
• Understand and advocate for technical SEO best practices.
• Perform advanced SEO tasks including schema markup.
• Audit sites for SEO best practices and opportunities.
• Continue learning as SEO/GEO evolves.
• Write SEO-related blogs to support client literacy and marketing plans.
• Organize and prioritize a heavy workload from different teams.
• Lead client-facing and internal calls on SEO topics.
• Deliver SEO/GEO audits and reviews with clients.
