Job summary

Calculated Hire is seeking an experienced SEO Copywriter to join its SEO Content team and support the development and optimization of PLP FAQs and supporting content across a large retail site. You will focus on improving organic visibility and the customer experience.

The ideal candidate writes with an SEO-first mindset, understands keyword intent and on-page optimization, and can adapt content for AI-driven search experiences. GEO experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of copywriting, content writing, editorial, or SEO content experience.
• Experience creating content for SEO and organic search.
• Strong understanding of search intent, keyword research, on-page SEO, and content optimization.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Ability to write concise, informative content for digital and e-commerce experiences.
• Experience working within brand voice and editorial guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume content assignments.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and optimize product listing page FAQs and supporting SEO content across a large retail website.
• Develop content that addresses customer search intent and provides clear, helpful answers.
• Apply SEO best practices including keyword targeting, search intent, and content structure.
• Develop content optimized for traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.
• Incorporate GEO / AI search optimization principles to improve discoverability by generative search platforms.
• Edit and refine existing content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, tone, and SEO performance.
• Partner with SEO strategists and cross-functional stakeholders to translate insights into copy.
• Ensure content aligns with brand voice, accessibility considerations, and SEO guidelines.
• Manage multiple content assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve FAQ content based on trends and questions.
• Contribute to scalable content standards and best practices.
