We are seeking an SEO Copywriter to join a growing U.S.-based residential and commercial solar energy company. You will turn complex solar topics (system design, savings, financing, ROI) into clear, search-optimized content that ranks, builds trust and turns homeowners and business owners into qualified leads.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SEO copywriting or content writing experience, a strong portfolio of ranking content, and the ability to make technical subjects simple and persuasive.

Responsibilities:

• Write SEO-optimized blog posts, guides, service pages and landing pages targeting high-intent solar searches (installation, cost, financing, incentives, ROI).
• Create location-based pages and content that capture city and regional solar demand.
• Work with the SEO team on keyword research, search intent, content briefs and the editorial calendar.
• Optimize on-page elements: titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal links and FAQ/schema-ready content.
• Refresh and improve existing website content to lift rankings and conversions.
• Write content structured for AI-driven search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) as well as traditional search.
• Write conversion copy for landing pages, offers, email campaigns and ads.
• Support the sales team with clear, persuasive collateral (one-pagers, proposal copy, email templates) that addresses common objections such as cost, ROI and installation.
• Keep messaging consistent across the website, email, ads and sales materials.
• Track content performance with the SEO team and use the data to improve future pieces.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in SEO copywriting, content writing or content marketing.
• Proven record of content that ranks and drives organic traffic or leads. A portfolio with live links is expected.
• Strong grasp of keyword research, search intent and on-page SEO.
• Excellent written English, with the ability to explain technical or financial topics simply.
• Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer SEO, Google Search Console or GA4.
• Comfortable working with SEO, design and sales teams.

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience writing for solar, renewable energy, construction, roofing, HVAC or other home services.
• Experience with local SEO and multi-location page programs.
• Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI search trends.
• Experience writing for high-ticket B2C sales, email campaigns or sales funnels.
• Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.

Requirements:

• Updated Resume/CV, plus a portfolio of published SEO content (live links preferred).
• Available to work US Eastern Time business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
