Job summary

Pennylane is seeking an SEO & AI Content Specialist to collaborate with the Growth team and optimise content for non-branded organic traffic. You will craft AI-powered workflows, create high-quality articles, pillar and landing pages, and iterate based on data to improve visibility and conversions.

Based in Paris on a hybrid basis or remote within France, you will help shape Pennylane’s GEO strategy and ensure content aligns with acquisition priorities while maintaining editorial excellence.

Why this role exists

At Pennylane, SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) are central to making our product easier to discover and understand, while helping us reach new customers.

We are looking for an SEO & AI Content Specialist to work closely with our SEO Manager and the wider Growth team. Your mission will be to produce, improve and scale high-quality content that drives non-branded organic traffic and conversions, while embedding AI thoughtfully into the way we work.

This role is for someone who enjoys writing, structuring, optimising, measuring and iterating. You are curious about the evolution of search and eager to explore how people discover products through search engines and AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.

What you’ll do

You will work closely with our SEO Manager and the wider Growth team and :

Build AI-powered content workflows

• Use AI to accelerate research, outlining, first drafts and content optimisation, while maintaining a high editorial standard.
• Design repeatable workflows, including briefs, quality checklists, templates and editorial guidelines.
• Help scale content production efficiently without compromising relevance, accuracy or clarity.

Produce and optimise high-value SEO content

• Write, update and improve SEO content, including articles, pillar pages and landing pages, to generate non-branded organic traffic and conversions.
• Turn search intent into clear, useful and well-structured content for Pennylane’s audiences.
• Run continuous optimisation initiatives, including content refreshes, consolidation, internal linking and on-page improvements.
• Work with stakeholders across Growth to ensure content supports broader acquisition priorities.

Help develop our GEO approach

• Build an understanding of the questions and prompts prospects use in AI-powered discovery tools.
• Adapt content to help ensure Pennylane is accurately understood and discoverable across emerging AI search journeys.
• Test content formats, structures and optimisation approaches that improve visibility in AI-generated answers — without compromising the experience for human readers.
• Share learnings and contribute to shaping Pennylane’s evolving SEO and GEO playbook.

Make decisions with data

• Monitor and prioritise work based on SEO performance signals, including visibility, rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, organic traffic and conversions.
• Translate data into concrete, actionable recommendations.
• Run experiments, measure their impact and iterate quickly and rigorously.

What you bring

• You have initial, meaningful hands-on experience in SEO, ideally with published content you can share.
• You are fluent in French, with strong writing and editing skills. You also have professional working proficiency in English.
• You enjoy improving content and are motivated by the challenge of turning a good page into a high-performing one.
• You take a pragmatic, data-informed approach: you form hypotheses, test them, measure outcomes and improve.
• You already use AI tools in your day-to-day workflow and are excited to deepen your practice.
• You have a sharp eye for structure, clarity, accuracy and editorial quality.
• You are comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and know how to focus on the initiatives with the greatest business impact.

Tools and environment

You will work with tools such as Meteoria, Profound, Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush, Contentful and Notion.

Location and working model

This role can be based in Paris on a hybrid basis, or remotely from anywhere in France.

Our recruitment process

All interviews are held remotely:

1. An initial conversation with Talent Acquisition (30 min).
2. A conversation with the Hiring Manager (30 min).
3. A case study and debrief with the Hiring Manager and a team member (1 hour).
4. A final team-fit conversation with a Marketing Team Lead (30 min).
