Northrop Grumman is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Sentinel program, located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, Utah. This role analyzes and designs facilities and subsystems to support missile upgrades, with a potential relocation package.

Bring a STEM degree and DoD Secret Clearance. Experience with ABAQUS, ANSYS, FEMAP and MATLAB is desired. The position offers a 9/80 schedule, competitive pay, full benefits and opportunities to contribute to national security.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years of experience.
Master's degree in STEM with 0 years experience.
US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance within last 5 years.
US Citizenship with ability to obtain SAP.
Experience running dynamic and/or static analysis.
Experience with ABAQUS, ANSYS, FEMAP.
Experience with MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

Oversee design/analysis of facilities and related subsystems for Sentinel upgrade.
Focus areas: Structural Engineering/Analysis, Thermal Analysis, Bolted Joint analysis, Welded Joint analysis.
Analyze, research and develop structural engineering specifications.
Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.
Utilize CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and related software.
