Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Structural Engineer for the Sentinel Infrastructure Analysis Team, located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT. You will analyze facilities and subsystems supporting the Minuteman III upgrade and related flight-test facilities, with a focus on structural integrity and reliability.

Candidates hold a STEM degree (2 years experience) or a Master's (0 years), must be a US citizen with a active DoD Secret Clearance and SAP eligibility. Relocation assistance may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience or Master's degree in STEM with 0 years of experience.
• US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance and investigation date within the last 5 years.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience running dynamic and/or static analysis.
• Experience in ABAQUS, ANSYS, FEMAP (w/Nastran).
• Experience with MATLAB for analysis and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Design/analysis of facilities and related subsystems for the Sentinel program.
• Analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling.
• Mentor/assist in mechanical, electrical and other engineering interactions.
