Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer in Roy, Utah to support the Sentinel program. The role involves designing system architectures, developing software in an agile environment, and creating automated test procedures with a collaborative team.
Qualified candidates will have DoD Secret clearance, strong SDLC experience, and hands-on work with Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines. Travel is possible, and relocation assistance may be available.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance
- 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Responsibilities
- Design and define system architecture for new or existing software products
- Develop software in an agile development environment
- Design automated test procedures for software verification activities
- Collaborate with the lead software engineer and a team of software engineers to establish and develop automated tools
- Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products
