Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Sensory Manager to lead and evolve its sensory evaluation program in Knoxville, TN. The role focuses on strategy, panel management, and data-driven insights to support product quality and innovation across the organization.

The successful candidate will partner with Quality, R&D, Marketing, and Operations, translating sensory data into actionable business decisions and guiding cross-functional teams in multi-site initiatives to drive product excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or related field.
• 5+ years of sensory or consumer science experience in food & beverage manufacturing.
• Experience in statistical analysis and experimental design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a sensory team including coaching and performance management.
• Manage sensory programs, facilities, budgets, and external vendors.
• Establish and maintain sensory standards and methodologies.
• Oversee sensory panels and support multi-site sensory initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally to support quality and innovation efforts.
• Support new product development through sensory & consumer insights.
• Analyze and interpret sensory data to guide business decisions.
