Job summary

Pasona N A, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking an Inside Sales professional to provide customer service and technical sales support for industrial sensors and automation products.

You will manage the full order process from quotation to shipment and invoicing, coordinating with the factory in Japan and distributors. The role combines sales support, inventory control, warehousing, and cross-functional communication, requiring hands-on handling and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial sensors and their applications.
• Ability to understand sensor specifications and provide basic product/technical support.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience or ability to manage quotations, purchase orders, order processing, and customer follow-up.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across sales, customer service, inventory, and logistics.
• Comfortable performing hands-on receiving, warehouse, packing, and shipping activities.
• Ability to effectively coordinate with customers, distributors, and overseas factory teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer and distributor inquiries regarding sensor products, specifications, pricing, availability, and order status.
• Provide basic technical support and assist customers with sensor/product-related questions.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers and authorized distributors.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on sales leads.
• Review and process purchase orders, verifying pricing, account status, and order information.
• Enter and maintain orders in the ERP system and communicate expected shipping schedules.
• Track open orders and coordinate shipments upon receipt of products from the factory.
• Process invoices and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Receive shipments from Japan, verify quantities, and enter inventory receipts.
• Manage inventory and place replenishment orders with the Japan factory to support future demand and backorders.
• Perform hands-on warehouse activities, including stocking, picking, packing, and inventory counts.
• Arrange customer shipments using UPS, FedEx, or similar carriers.
• Maintain product literature and catalogs and support trade shows and other sales activities.
