Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sensors Engineer, Product Performance Engineering – Electrical, to support and sustain Bently Nevada sensor technologies across their lifecycle. You will characterize, test, troubleshoot, and provide engineering support to ensure reliable sensor performance and manufacturing continuity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting sensor products, sensor manufacturing, or instrumentation technologies.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience working in laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Characterization, testing, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering for sensor products.
  • Evaluating sensor performance and identifying opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Supporting manufacturing operations by investigating production issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conducting root cause investigations and recommending solutions for technical and product performance concerns.
  • Supporting sensor-related software tools, laboratory equipment, and reference standards used for characterization, calibration, and validation.
  • Performing laboratory testing and engineering analysis to validate sensor designs and product performance.
  • Analyzing performance data and applying statistical techniques to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives that strengthen product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Maintaining technical documentation, engineering records, reports, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and support business objectives.
