Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sensor Integration Engineer to lead the integration, configuration, testing, and validation of force protection sensing technologies for an Army-based OTA prototype. You will work with radar, EO/IR, LiDAR, EW, and access-control sensors, coordinating with software, field operations, and subcontractor teams to ensure a cohesive, interoperable sensing ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience leading DoD complex programs and interoperable sensor systems.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and management.
• In-depth experience with EW, C-UAS, radar, EO/IR, LiDAR, acoustic detection, VMS, C2, COP, multi-sensor fusion.

Responsibilities

• Integrate force protection sensors into a unified architecture.
• Configure radar, EO/IR, LiDAR, acoustic, EW, and access control technologies.
• Support sensor-to-COP integration and data fusion.
• Validate interoperability between Government-furnished, Leidos, and partner systems.
• Configure sensor interfaces and communication paths.
• Develop and maintain ICDs; coordinate with software and systems teams.
• Conduct field integration testing and validation.
• Calibrate sensors and optimize performance.
• Support end-to-end operational workflow validation.
• Assist in field deployment activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure sensor integration supports layered force protection.
