Job summary

Crane Company seeks a Project Engineer for Sensing to lead projects from concept through completion onsite in Los Angeles. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate BOMs, costing, and PCR processes, and support product testing and validation with customers.

The role requires 1–3 years in technical PM in manufacturing, with experience in sensing/instrumentation preferred and strong communication and presentation skills. Onsite collaboration across locations is expected.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSEE is required; relevant experience or internships.
• 1–3 years of technical project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in sensing or instrumentation environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from concept to completion.
• Execute modification projects with cross-functional teams focusing on sample delivery and success.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly status reports and updates.
• Communicate customer specifications to support product test and validation at all locations.
• Coordinate BOM creation, costing, and PCR processes.
• Develop prototypes and validate them with engineering teams under service conditions.
• Coordinate with quality to address customer quality concerns and returns.
• Develop and maintain strong product/application knowledge for O&G and Industrial Sensing products.
• Interface with customers and sales teams to gather product requirements; occasional travel to customer sites.
