Job summary

Crane Company seeks a Project Engineer to bridge engineering and product management for its valve portfolio. You’ll lead cross-functional projects from concept to implementation, analyze customer applications, and support lifecycle management. Strong technical plus business acumen required for growth initiatives.

Responsibilities cover BOM, cost tracking, PCRs, data analysis, and on-site customer engagement. Travel required; salary range $75,000–$85,000 per year, on-site in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 1–2 years of engineering, PM, and/or product development experience.
• Familiarity with PM practices, NPD processes, and technical product development.
• Willingness to travel to meet customers.

Responsibilities

• Participate and oversee BOM creation, product costing, and PCRs.
• Lead smaller engineering projects from concept through completion with regular status updates.
• Support product replacement and obsolescence projects to back 80/20 initiatives.
• Analyze data and market research to guide product strategy and growth opportunities.
• Coordinate design reviews and provide technical documentation to stakeholders.
